Monday marked my 10th year as a stand up comedian. 🎤 *
In that time I’ve met some of my idols, and some assholes. I’ve performed across the US, Canada and Europe, found my husband, made a few brief appearances on TV, produced live shows, and started 4 podcasts (2 of which I have since stopped). I’ve been paid well, and paid poorly. I’ve been heckled, praised, supported, harassed, ripped off, trolled online, not booked, booked, and then not booked again. I’ve autographed boobs and moobs. I’ve written scripts, I’ve taken a few “LA meetings,” I’ve been on stage with my mom, niece and husband. It’s been good, it’s been bad and it’s been really good AND bad, but through it all, it’s the realest thing I’ve ever done. ♥️

I truly believe it’s what I am meant to do.
I’ve never felt more powerful or alive then when I’m on stage alone with just a microphone and an audience laughing (and sometimes not laughing 😁). *
Moral of the story: If you’re a woman who has ever thought about doing stand up comedy, DO IT!! We need your voices now more than ever. 😘♥️
